Built by a woman, for women
Hi, I'm Kay — and I built this to take back control
The honest truth is I wasn't drowning in apps — I just wasn't managing life as well as I wanted to be. When things got busy with work or day-to-day life, it all felt too hard to keep on top of. Life was managing me, and I wanted to be the one in control.
I wanted a single, central place where everything lived — my budget, my health, my home admin, my goals — so that when things got hectic, I could open one app and know exactly where I stood. Siera Life started as something I built for myself. Then I realised it could be so much more than that.
The health tracking features came from something deeper — both personal and witnessed. I've had my own health journey: navigating a lump that grew significantly, pushing to be taken seriously, attending appointment after appointment trying to piece together what was happening in my own body. It turned out to be non-cancerous, but the experience of having to advocate for yourself, collect your own data, and walk into a room and be believed — that stays with you.
After my own experience, I could only imagine what other women are going through — where it can take years to get a diagnosis, and every appointment can feel like starting from scratch. I feel strongly that you should be your own biggest advocate, and that you deserve the resources to do that. That's why the symptom tracking is built the way it is — so when a doctor asks what's been happening, you're not going in blind. You have the data. You have the history. You walk in prepared.
I wanted to design something that made those conversations easier. A place to track your symptoms over time and download a clear, organised report to hand straight to your doctor — so you walk in with evidence, not just a feeling. That's a tool I wish I'd had, and one I know so many women need.
I'm in my twenties, still figuring it all out — and honestly, that's part of why I wanted to build something bigger than just my own stage of life. Even if you haven't been through something yourself, chances are you know someone who has. A friend, a sister, someone in your circle. That's always been enough for me to care. I didn't want to build an app that only worked for where I am right now — I wanted to build a safe place for whatever someone is going through, whatever stage they're in. Whether you're in your twenties wondering where to start, navigating pregnancy, managing a full household, or somewhere in between entirely — Siera is here for that.
Siera Life is built with purpose: to give women a tool that works as hard as they do, and helps them feel in control — no matter what life throws at them.
